Adult Non-Credit Classes

For those eager to delve into movement expression, whether seasoned dancers or newcomers to the floor, these courses are crafted to ignite and nurture a passion for dance.

The Beginner Hip Hop/Street Dance course explores styles from the 1970s to the present, including breaking, popping, locking, and house dance. It provides insights into the cultural origins and evolution of Street Dance, introduces foundational performance skills and dance vocabulary, and explores the unique characteristics of each style.

The Beginner Ballet course is tailored for individuals with minimal or no dance experience, providing a supportive space to delve into the world of ballet. It focuses on establishing a foundational understanding of ballet basics, encompassing technique, posture, alignment, musicality, flexibility, strength, and artistic expression over six classes. Throughout, emphasis is placed on breath, movement freedom, and surpassing personal limitations.

Both classes are open to all enthusiasts willing to engage with ballet, irrespective of prior dance backgrounds.

Upon completion, participants gain knowledge and physical confidence, enabling them to further explore Street Dance or Ballet with assurance and focus.
